Help!! Help!!

This building is 137' long, and has three pipes running the length of the building. I quit counting at 100 breaks. We are having to replace all the pipes. that run to the upper half of the building.

I am saving the pipes to turn in to cash to help pay for the repairs, The Inn is strapped for cash and aren't sure how they are going to pay for it. The work has to be done there are to many people that rely on this homeless shelter in this weather to keep them warm.

This is a few of the breaks The heat tape you see here failed, which is what caused the problem in the first place. I have been coming in and working on this and heaters and locks for a week now and will be heading back today to finish removing the last of the pipes. The weather has been reeking havoc on the buildings.

I am cutting each side of the places where they run to bathrooms, while all this is going on they are having to share the restrooms down stairs, They are able to sleep in the rooms and stay warm. They need help to pay for this repair. And I am asking you my fellow bloggers to step up to the plate for me. I would not ask for this for me, but the Inn provides a need service to the community. I worked for the Inn for over 4 years and was laid off when they lost there funding. But when something goes wrong they know they can call me and I will be there to help. They have been helping people starting in 1999. A $5 donation will buy 1 fitting for the building, there are 11 rooms and 5 fittings to a room. Sorry, But I will be lucky if I have time to do any post this week. What is it do to the holidays coming you ask? No, Its do to the lovely weather we are having here in Oregon. Those of you who read my blog regularly know that I use to work at a homeless shelter. And that they had to lay me off when they lost there funding. And that I still go in and help when they need it. Well we have been having temps drop down to -4 here over the last few days and there pipes have frozen. They have had some plumbers come out to help but they haven't been to reliable. in fact one that was going to come out last night not only did not show he wouldn't even return phone calls. So it is Ken to the rescue. I was there tell after 9 last night and ran out of parts. So I am getting ready to head over there again. I have at least 9 more breaks to fix. So I'm sure that as I fix them I will be finding more. So if you don't here from me I am busy helping the homeless, and I will do it in the name of all my blogging friends.

I know what your asking! how did those lights get up in that tree? Its thirty feet tall and very skinny, you couldn't of used a latter. If you did you would end up like practically Joe (see his blog about this please) and get hurt. But the lights have to go up they have been up on that tree for years we just can't stop now. So how did the lights get up on my brothers tree then you say? Just have a look and see some Christmas magic! Or that my brothers brother is just a little touched lol

My brother not only takes this one man hot tub but he also has a hot shower and a big tent with a wood burning stove in it! Its rough going on a Elk hunt with him!!!

But I think if I had to go I would try getting him to come along!

A funny story

Here is a short story I just must pass on. I normally don't talk about my family to much on here just maybe some thing like the dinner we went to the other night but this is funny to me and I hope you can get a chuckle out of it to.

My parents have left town for the winter as they do every winter. They left last Thursday, On Saturday they called and asked if I would go over and shut the water valve off under the kitchen sink and pick up some food items they forgot to give me before they left. No big deal and they would sleep better knowing that the water valve was off so when they went to have the water turned back on it would not leak. So I did and I called them as I was leaving to let then know it was all taken care of. End of story right?.... Wrong.

Monday Morning my phone rings its my mother. And she says "I'm having an argument with your father and need your help" Okay for those of you who don't know my mom and dad they don't argue dad is smart he just gives in. So I chuckle a bit and ask what I could do to resolve this "Argument" She then asks me to go back to her house and measure her love seat?. I'm like "um why do you want me to do that?". She then tells me that they are talking about switching the one in the couch for the one in the house and that dad thinks its to tall and will block the window. So I go all the way over there and do this and call with the results. Mom is happy she won, they can now switch them out.

Here is the funny part. I had to go over and do this in November.... They will not be home in tell April to do the switch.............

Ten things I know about JAG

Here is what I know about JAG. now I have never even seen a picture of her, so that is why I always tell my family that she is the best looking woman I have never seen. I think of that young lady as a good friend and that is why I stalk her.

3. she is 5'1 and a 1/2... (just found that out today)

4. She has a great kid with a funny name (Tween)

5. Her mother is a wonderful human and should be given the key to Texas.

9. She is in love with me but does not know it yet (and don't you tell her)

10. She really knows her football, Now that's a woman after my heart!!!

What a nice place for a family get together, and when it is a family like mine there is always plenty of story's, and always plenty of laughter. I just wish my two sisters and one other brother could of been here to make it complete.




Now I know what your thinking but no farm animals were harmed by my meal!

Going to have a get together

Goin' to have a get together today with mom and dad, my brother and his wife and a few others. Its the last chance to do so for about 6 months as my parents will be heading south tomorrow. The only real benefit to them heading down there is my fridge gets well stocked. I'm going to try to get some pictures of us to night but some are party poppers. I may just have to get help from the big boss and have her order it! My mother still commands the house even at 74.
