Birthday fishing trip

As you scroll down you will see all the fish I caught

I mean being here fishing on your birthday is such a great way to spend the afternoon, fighting all those fish with this looking down on you.

It was sunny and warm although we were deep in a canyon catching fish.

Not far from this spot my father caught a 15 pound 5 ounce German Brown trout about this time of year. the fishing is really good here.

Rick's remodel

This is what the side (east) deck looked like and it went around the back to the side walk in a picture below.

And this is the front of the house, how it looks now. There was a roof that went over the deck that is why there is a color change in the shingles. Just to give you an idea we pulled 40 pounds of nails and staples out doing this. My brother saved all the wood to burn in his wood stove. we will be replacing the roof with a metal one, and the deck will be enlarged and done with pavers. I will be heading back out as soon as the concrete guy is done.

Yeah I know I just wished my OLDER brother a happy birthday yesterday. But today is mine we are 3 years and 1 day apart. So that means I am 29 this year, its nice to get younger every year.....I think I will keep that up!

Happy birthday Rick

Today my OLDER brother turns 52 an old man for sure! I will be spending a lot of time with him starting today. He will be picking me up and we are going fishing. Then over the next few weeks I will be staying with him and helping out with his remodel. I will try to post when I can but have no idea when I will have a computer to work with.

Yeah he is just a little thing but at least it looks like a fish...lol Its a Rainbow trout for those who didn't know (yesterdays was a German brown trout)

This is a Buzzard there were about 8 of them flying around today (I tried to look as alive as I could but they kept coming back) I have more pictures of them and a video I will post later.

This was a chance shot, they are a little skittish, but where I was doesn't get a lot of human traffic (more on that coming later also)

I will be out of touch with a computer after Tuesday so I will try to post every day till then. I will be helping my brother at his log cabin and do not know how long I will be gone.

Man can I take a picture!

Now I know what your thinking, How did I get such a perfect shot of a flopping fish with a camera phone? I just can't believe it turned out so well either! Granted it was a whopping 9 or 10 inches long and flopping around like a fish out of water but it was the first fish of the year! I hope you enjoy the photo and I hope that the next pictures of fish I catch turn out as well!

A TGT post

This is what Rick had for dinner, He said it wasn't very good.

This is what I had for dinner, it was okay. This was the worst trip to the pine tavern. In fact its the only time I have ever had a complaint there. The food was so so and the service was POOR!

But TGT sent this to my mother and they are BEAUTIFUL!! She has such good taste.

Birds, and there new for the blog!

So I was at my parents house today, giving my mother her mothers day gift (but some damn sister beat me to it....and I will beat her yes you know who you are!) But I'm not upset I just worked for two days on loading pictures in to it and all just to find out my sister gave her one for Christmas! Oops got a little off track here. Okay so the real post is about BIRDS and not what my sister did to me and all my planing...............sorry.

Okay the red and yellow birds are male and female Red Crossbills, and the little guy is a pine Ciscin ? I couldn't find the spelling on it so it may be wrong.

Okay, but no pictures

Well here is a post that I was trying to put off in tell I got some pictures. But the weather SUCKS so bad over the last week that I wouldn't take my camera out in this crap. I mean it is MAY and snowing!. But anywhoooo he is the post.

Mom and dad are home!!!!! after a long (there longest to date) trip to somewhere warm they have returned. It is nice having them here, I just wish it would warm up be for they decide to go back where they can go outside!

I will post more when I can get out!
